Message from the President
As the weather moved into the autumn zone, the level of activity further increased at Khushboo.
The festive season raised the level of excitement amongst children with all festivals such as Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas etc being celebrated by them with fervour and excitement.
Nothing gives more satisfaction than to see children fully involved and enjoying the various activities being conducted.
I sincerely hope that Khushboo continuously finds new ways and means to improve their lives.
Residential project continues to get high attention from the Executive Committee, with each one of them trying to mobilise resources for construction of the facility.
Though there has been limited success on this front, I am sure as time progresses we shall be able to meet the requirements.
There is enough good in the society at large, to generate sufficient support for this cause.

With best wishes,

Rakesh Jinsi

Success story
Prateek, joined Khushboo in March 2018, when he was 5 years old. At time of admission, he had no neck control, his movements were uncoordinated and reaching objects around him was impossible. There was lot of tightness in both upper and lower limbs .His back muscles were also very weak and consequently he was not able to even sit independently. His speech was not clear with complaint of drooling. He had not achieved developmental milestones and was dependent on his parents for his daily needs.
Our team of special educators and therapists developed goal-oriented therapeutic activities after examining him.  Also training was given to his parents, so that they could work with him at home. After therapeutic intervention now he is able to control his neck, his strength in back has increased and tightness in upper limbs is reduced. He is also able to roll himself from supine to prone position and vice versa. His speech is much clear and understandable. He is the most interactive child of his class.
